The need for knitted or crocheted knockers remains strong. We urge all of you to try your hand at knockers. It is a wonderful feeling to know you have provided something good for another woman. The first and third Tuesday afternoons are always good times to find other knocker knitters sitting around our big table. If you need help getting started on your first pair, just let us know. The methods of choice are DPNs, magic loop, or crochet. This is not for the beginner knitter, but an experienced knitter will have no problem learning the techniques. Size 4 or 5 knitting needles are used, or size F or G crochet hook. You pay $10 for the yarn to make your first 3 or 4 knockers, and after that the yarn is provided for you thanks to a grant received from Baptist Hospital. 3 to 5 pm.
