Easy Fingerless Mitts. (Judy Cowen)

Size 7 DPNs
Poems Silk Worsted weight yarn 109 yds
Cast on 30 st. Place marker and join in round.
Work in K1 P1 rib for 1 1/2 inches.
Rnd 1: Sl m, cast on 8 sts, knit to end of round. (38 sts)
Rnd 2: Knit.
Rnd 3: Sl m, ssk, k5, k2tog, k to end of round. (36 sts)
Rnd 4: Knit.
Rnd 5: Sl m, ssk, k3, k2tog, k to end of round. (34
sts)
Rnd 6: Knit.
Rnd 7: Sl m, ssk, k1, k2tog, k to end of round. (32
sts)
Rnd 8: Knit.
Rnd 9: Sl m, s2kp, k to end of round. (30 sts)
Continue to knit in rounds until mitt measures 8
inches/24 cm long.
Work K1 P1 rib for 1 1/2 inches
Cast off knitwise.
Repeat for the other mitt. Block and weave in ends.
